Guide to the Air Carrier Access Act: What it Means for People with Hearing Loss

The Guide to the Air Carrier Access Act is a wonderful resource for anyone with a disability who wants to learn more about their rights when traveling by air.

Laws and Regulations

- A link to a copy of U.S. Code section on Discrimination Against Handicapped Individuals (with updates passed by Congress on January 8, 2008) which apply to air transportation by both U.S. and foreign air carriers. (49 U.S.C. Sec 41705)

- A link to the U.S. Department of Transportation regulations implementing nondiscrimination on the basis of disability in air travel. (14 CFR Part 382)
