International
Federation of Hard of Hearing People (IFHOH)
The International Federation of Hard of Hearing People consists of
National Associations of and for hard of hearing and late deafened
people, and parents' and professional organizations. The board members
of IFHOH carry out their work on a voluntary basis.
We are working to help non-member countries develop consumer based
organizations which can provide leadership for their people with hearing
loss. Let us know how we can help your country, or how you or your
country's organization can help us in our work.

January 2004
We've made a couple of mentions of the International Federation of
Hard of Hearing People (IFHOH), and have encouraged you to consider
attending their international convention in Helsinki this summer. (Your
editor is scheming on how to get there :~)
It turns out that the IFHOH publishes a wonderful journal, and the
latest issue has just been posted. To view it, point your browser to
http://www.ifhoh.org/ifhohjournal/ifhohjournaldec2003.pdf (You'll need
Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file. If it's not on your machine, it's
free and available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Oh, yeah, here's the link to the conference information:

Papers is available from the conference secretary at maria.rajasalmi@kuulonhuoltoliitto.fi

February 2010
You're probably familiar with HLAA, ALDA, NAD, AG
Bell, and possibly some other hearing loss organizations here in the US.
But do you realize that there are organizations with similar goals in many
other countries, as well as an international organization that promotes
the interests of people who are hard of hearing. The International
Federation for Hard of Hearing People has a wonderful quarterly newsletter
that I think you'll find very interesting. For the latest issue, point
