HLAA 2007 Convention

The 2007 HLAA Convention was held in Oklahoma City, OK  from June 21 to 24, 2007.  We were able to make it this year, and we also got some great reports from Cheryl Heppner and Lise Hamlin. So I think this is the most complete HLAA convention coverage we've ever offered!

Because we have so many reports, we're going to be a bit more organized about how we group things this year. We'll have three categories of reports.

One will be the Workshops, which I believe is the centerpiece of a hearing loss convention. This category will also include board and members meetings, the keynote speech, and the research symposium.

The second category is the Exhibits. Cheryl and Lise do a great job of covering the exhibits and we have lots of detailed reports of what products and services were on display on the exhibit floor.

Finally, we have a category called "Extras and Other". I often hear from folks that the reports from Cheryl and Lise on the convention's "extracurricular activities" really make the convention come to life. Here's where you'll find reports on the convention atmosphere, travails getting here, what's in the convention bag, etc. And there's a special report this year on the convert provided by the folks from the Adult Association of Musicians with Hearing Loss.
