HLAA 2009 Convention
The 2009 HLAA Convention was held in Nashville, TN from
June 17 to 21, 2009. We weren't able to make it this year, but got
some great reports from Cheryl Heppner and Bonnie O'Leary of NVRC. So I think you'll find LOTS of
interesting material here!
Because we have so many reports, we've grouped them into
three categories:
One will be the Workshops, which I
believe is the centerpiece of a hearing loss convention. This category
will also include board and members meetings, the keynote speech, and the
research symposium.
The second category is the Exhibits.
Cheryl does a great job of covering the exhibits and we have lots of
detailed reports of what products and services were on display on the
exhibit floor.
Finally, we have a category called "Extras
and Other". I often hear from folks that the reports from Cheryl on
the convention's "extracurricular activities" really make the convention
come to life. Here's where you'll find reports on the convention
atmosphere, travails getting here, what's in the convention bag, etc.
