David Myers to Give Keynote Address at HLAA Convention 2012

The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) has announced that David Myers, PhD, will deliver the keynote address at its Convention 2012 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence on June 21-24, 2012. Myers (pictured) is the author of 17 books, including A Quiet World: Living with Hearing Loss. He is also the creator of hearingloop.org and, since 2002, the author of 30 articles that advocate assistive listening that is directly hearing aid compatible. On June 21 at the opening ceremony, Myers will present "Accelerating Progress Toward the Looping of America and Doubled Hearing Instrument Functionality," which will report on the momentum behind nationwide support for making assistive listening directly hearing instrument compatible. Progress includes local and state initiatives, media visibility, and increased support from hearing and audio professionals.  Full Story
