TDI 2001 Convention
TDI's 14th Biennial International Conference and Expo
tool place in Sioux Falls, SD July 7 - 11, 2001. Many of the movers and
shakers in the world of telecommunications for people with hearing loss
were in attendance. I attended as many of the workshops as possible, and
tried to take careful notes. Here are the resulting articles.
July
2001 - In
the Opening Session we were welcomed by some of
the movers and shakers in the world of hearing loss telecommunications,
including Dr. Roy Miller, Claude Stout, and Dr. Ben Soukup.

2001 - Here's a report on Dr. Harry Lang's TDI workshop entitled "From
the Telegraph to the TTY - The Deaf Experience in the History of
Communication" - a really fascinating history of the TTY.

August 2001 - WGBH in Boston is well known for its
ongoing efforts to provide accessible programming to people with hearing
loss. A couple of folks from WGBH gave a wonderful presentation
on all the wonderful things in the works at WGBH.
