Oticon, Inc, has unveiled Oticon Delta Think Pink, the first in a
series of special Lifestyle Editions of the trendy, triangular hearing
device that encourage users to "wear their passion on their ears." New
Delta Think Pink features a shell in the distinctive pink color found on
ribbons and other accessories that promote breast cancer awareness and
help raise funds for breast cancer research.
During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oticon, Inc,
will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Lifestyle Edition
Delta Think Pink and all Delta hearing devices to the American Cancer
Society to support breast cancer research.
"We have seen the enormous outpouring of support for initiatives that
promote breast cancer awareness and research," stated Peer Lauritsen,
president of Oticon, Inc. "Pink ribbons and specially designed pink
clothing and accessories appeal to consumers in all walks of life. With
the new Delta Think Pink we offer people with hearing loss the opportunity
to experience unprecedented sound quality and style and at the same time,
help support a worthy cause."
Oticon will promote Delta Think Pink with a range of marketing
communications materials including ads, posters, postcards and desktop
displays. The company will also encourage hearing care professionals and
their clients to participate in the American Cancer Society's "Making
Strides Against Breast Cancer" noncompetitive walks that will take place
across the country in October. On October 21, a contingent of Oticon
employees, wearing Delta Think Pink t-shirts, will travel from the
company's Somerset, New Jersey headquarters to New York City's Central
Park to participate in one of country's largest American Cancer Society
walks.
The new Lifestyle Edition Delta Think Pink is one of several
lifestyle-themed Delta hearing devices that will be introduced in
2007-2008. "Delta was an immediate success because people were attracted
to the newness of its unique design - and superior RITE technology," noted
Lauritsen. "By allowing users to make a very personal statement about
things that matter most in their lives, the new Delta Lifestyle Edition
Think Pink and the other special editions planned for later this year
represent another first for our industry. This innovative approach
encourages users and potential users to take a closer look at the ways in
which Delta is a perfect fit for their lifestyles."
The sleek, triangular hearing instrument is available in new Think Pink
and over 17 different brushed metallic color styles, ranging from
"Cabernet Red" and "Samoa Blue" to "Racing Green" and "Wildlife."
