Two Way Pager Use

My daughter came home for a few days, and we had a great time! We live in different states, but she keeps in touch with me daily, either on email or by Wyndtell pager. If you haven't heard about the Wyndtell pagers you should visit the site to at least see them!!!

We pay the unlimited fee of $59 per month, which is much like a cell phone charge. She can use it for so many things! She calls me on the telephone by typing in a message and then putting my phone number in. It calls me and voices what she types!!! She can email, receive and send faxes, call AAA, do lots of things! We talk back and forth sometimes almost like instant messages with it!

A short story to tell: She was with a friend last night and her dad (who was waiting for her to come home to grandpa's house) called me and said she was late and he wanted to know where she was! He couldn't get online cause I was online on the account, so I emailed her pager, and within about 2 minutes she wrote me back that they were on the subway heading to grandpa's house. I told my husband and he felt a lot better. Pretty neat, huh?

The pagers vibrate...are pretty small...have a keyboard to type that is really tiny (you should see her hold it and use her two thumbs to type really fast!!) At school she once wrote: "I'm walking between classes and I hope I don't run into a pole!" Most of her friends at school also have one, and they use them to keep in touch with each other, make meeting plans, etc. - just like we use our cell phones.... What a wonderful thing for the HI and deaf.
